He said,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

what they said,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

didn’t even hurt.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Until then,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

they did it again and<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I saw him blurt,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

words of anger and<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

words of pain.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

His hurt was forthcoming<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

like torrential rain.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then, I heard him<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

say something new,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Hey you and you and you too,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am not afraid of you<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

with what you might say<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

or what you might do.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I think what in me<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

you say is bad<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

is to cover your own feelings<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

when you pretend<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

that you are not sad or mad.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I won’t let you<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

make fun of me.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I will walk away<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

as I am totally free<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

to make true friends,<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
